The Committee of Inquiry into the Little India riot begins its public hearing at 10am on Wednesday.
Close to 70 witnesses are expected to testify before the four-man committee which is chaired by former Supreme Court judge G. Pannir Selvam.
Among the witnesses slated to testify are police officers, a forensic expert and a bus driver who was driving the vehicle involved in a fatal accident which is believed to have sparked the riot.
In the accident, an Indian national was killed after he was run over by the private bus ferrying workers from Little India back to their dormitories. It is believed that other workers then started attacking paramedics and damaging vehicles.
To date, two workers have been sentenced for the involvement in the riot while cases against 23 others are still pending in court.
