SINGAPORE - The ComChest Care & Share Charity Show 2014 has raised more than $6.2 million for beneficiaries of the Community Chest, the fund-raising arm of the National Council of Social Service.

A special art installation was also unveiled at the end of the show, held at the Resorts World Sentosa Theatre on Sunday. It comprises balloon sculptures, sand art, paper flowers and notes of well-wishes by volunteers and donors.

The charity show is part of the Care & Share Movement - a nationwide drive to spur donations and volunteerism in the run-up to Singapore's 50th anniversary celebrations in 2015. Under this movement, eligible donations received this year will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Government.

Tele-poll lines for donations will remain open till Aug 10, while the online charity auction at careandshare.sg/charityauction is open till July 31. Those who wish to donate can call:

* 1900-112-8808 to donate $8,
