Cisco officer shoots herself at Supreme Court

A 20-year-old Certis Cisco auxilliary police officer shot herself to death at the Supreme Court on Tuesday afternoon at about 1.20pm.

The police said the woman, a Malaysian, was found with a gunshot wound to her head in the toilet. Her service revolver was found beside her.

According to a joint media statement by the two organisations, she joined Certis Cisco in June last year, and was deployed to the Supreme Court in late October.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.

The statement also said that her family will be assisted in any way they may require.

"Deputy Assistant Commissioner Chua Chuan Seng, Commander of Certis Cisco Auxiliary Police Force and senior officers from Certis Cisco, together with the security team from the Supreme Court, have been rendering assistance to the police," it added.

In 2011, a male Certis Cisco auxiliary police officer died from a gunshot wound to the head after shooting himself in a VivoCity toilet cubicle.
