Fourteen members of the special needs community glammed up for a catwalk show at Paragon mall yesterday, accompanied by music from local pianist Azariah Tan, who is hearing-impaired. It was part of SJ50, which celebrates inclusivity and 50 years of diplomatic ties between Singapore and Japan. Japanese calligrapher Shoko Kanazawa, who has Down syndrome, also performed at the three-day event, which culminated in a gala dinner last night.
