Over 750 courses ranging from certificates to postgraduate degrees were presented to around 5,000 visitors shopping for higher education options on Sunday.

The Cats Classified Learning for Success Education Exhibition, which was held at the Bugis+ shopping mall, hosted booths from 21 local private education institutes, many of which have tie-ups with overseas universities.

The full-day event attracted both passers-by as well as people who made the trip specially to see what options were available, such as undergraduates Sabrina Choo, 24, who was with her friend and thesis teammate Eckshar Jesu Milton, 27. The pair are final year psychology students at the Singapore campus of James Cook University and were looking for postgraduate degrees.

"We're just going for whatever fairs we can find so we can compare the courses on offer and find the best fit," Ms Choo said.
