SINGAPORE - The driver of a red car lost control of his vehicle in Buangkok early on Thursday (June 15) morning and the vehicle overturned on the road divider, sending debris flying and striking two other cars.

The accident occurred along Buangkok Drive, towards Buangkok East Drive at 7.35am on Thursday.

The vehicle appeared to be badly damaged, with its doors open, pictures in a report by Lianhe Wanbao on Thursday showed.

The Sraits Times understands that when it hit the divider, debris flew and hit two other cars in the opposite lane.

Eyewitness Mr Zheng Lianxing, a 57-year-old taxi driver, told Wanbao that there were three people in the red car - a man who appeared to be in his 40s, a teenage girl and an elderly woman.

He said passers-by helped pull the three of them out of the overturned vehicle.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force told ST it dispatched an ambulance and assessed three people with minor injuries. None of them wanted to be taken to hospital.

Police said they were alerted to an accident involving three cars at the location at 7.36am, and that investigations are ongoing.
