British Airways offering promo rates, free flights for infants, to celebrate new royal baby

SINGAPORE - Airline British Airways is giving travellers from Singapore even more reason to celebrate the birth of Britain's new royal baby.

Families travelling with children under the age of two will get complimentary flights to London and Sydney for their infants.

Travellers of all ages will also get to enjoy celebratory promotional fares to both destinations. Return fares to London in World Traveller economy class start from S$1,328, while return tickets to Sydney start at S$618.

For seats in the airline's World Traveller Plus premium economy cabin, which has wider seats and more legroom, return flights to London start from just S$2,428 and return fares to Sydney from S$1,183.

Both offers are valid for travel before Nov 30, 2015. Tickets must be booked by May 13, unless sold out before then.

British Airways regional general manager of South East Asia Robert Williams said on Monday: "The arrival of the latest addition to the Royal Family is exciting news in the United Kingdom and we wanted to bring the celebrations to our customers here in Singapore."

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and his wife Catherine, welcomed their baby daughter on Saturday.
