SINGAPORE - The annual Dating Fest has been expanded, with a series of "dating deal" events offering eligible singles up to 50 per cent off selected events and packages.

Participants will also receive credit vouchers of up to $100 per person that can be used to pay for them.

Organised by the Social Development Network (SDN), which was formed by merging the Social Development Unit and Social Development Services, this year's event will offer more activities than before in response to increasing demand.

Singles can look forward to subsidies on 150 events, up from 115 last year, and more than 80 in 2013.

The activities will go beyond the traditional dinner date, with participants able to sign up for enrichment lessons such as cooking or dancing to meet like-minded people.

The seven-week event will culminate in a finale event, Gala Dinner: "Let's Click", at Marina Bay Sands on Feb 7.

"Dating Fest 2015 provides many opportunities for singles to widen their social networks while having fun at the same time through its plethora of events and activities," said Ms Jenny Ng, founder of Dating Moments agency, which is participating in the event.

"We are confident that the discounts and subsidies from Dating Fest will provide added interest for singles to join our activities."
