The mother charged with murdering her toddler son who was found in the waters off Bedok Jetty last November will spend another week undergoing further psychiatric assessment at Changi Women's Prison.

Lim Ann Nee, 44, wore a blank expression as she stood in the dock when her matter was heard on Tuesday morning.

She was pulled out of the waters off East Coast Park by the Police Coast Guard at about 6pm on Nov 25. The body of her 17-month-old son, Emilien Lacroix, was found floating about 300m from Bedok Jetty about three hours later, after being spotted by a passenger on a passing boat. Her case will be mentioned again on Jan 14.

Lim had recently lost her job with a technology firm. Her husband is French national Mr Sebastien Lacroix. The couple, who live in Singapore, have an older son.
