Myanmar opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi arrived in Singapore shortly after 1pm on Friday to begin what will be a four-day visit to the Republic.
This is the first time the Nobel peace laureate has visited Singapore.
Later today, she will meet Second Minister for Foreign Affairs Grace Fu at the MFA building. She will also receive briefings from several government agencies.
Her weekend schedule includes two speaking engagements and a meeting with some 5,000 Myanmar citizens based in Singapore.
On Monday, Ms Suu Kyi has lined up back-to-back bilateral meetings. She is due to call on President Tony Tan Keng Yam, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong and Speaker of Parliament Halimah Yacob before leaving Singapore on Tuesday.
