SINGAPORE - Singaporeans and permanent residents can apply for tickets to two previews and the National Day Parade (NDP) from next Tuesday (May 23), the organising committee said in a press release on Thursday.
This year's NDP, #OneNationTogether, will be held at The Float @ Marina Bay.
Similar to 2016, there will be a second preview, which will allow more Singaporeans to watch the show live.
This is because the seating capacity at the floating platform is smaller than the National Stadium, said Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen on Facebook.
"In total, about 150,000 Singaporeans will be able to watch the NDP 'live' this year - students attending the three National Education shows, and members of the public at the two Preview shows and the actual NDP," he said.
This year's parade will feature a Salute to the Nation by five Republic of Singapore Air Force F-15SG fighter aircraft and a special tribute to 50 years of National Service.
Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents can apply for tickets to the two previews and the Parade from May 23 to June 4.
Successful applicants will be notified from June 26 to July 3. They may collect their tickets from July 7 to 9 and from July 14 to 16, between 10am and 9pm, at the National Gallery Singapore, Basement 1, The Ngee Ann Kongsi Auditorium Foyer.
Applicants can choose to apply for two, four or six tickets. Preview 1 is on July 22, Preview 2 on July 29, and the NDP on Aug 9.
The lower the number of tickets applied for, the higher the chances of obtaining them, the committee said.
Applicants can apply for tickets using SMS, going online or at SAM and AXA stations.

Step 1: Go to 'Create Message' under the SMS function of your mobile phone.
Step 2: Key in your details in the format below and send it to 8240 0050 to apply for the tickets.

Step 3: An SMS reply will be sent to you shortly to acknowledge receipt of your application.

Step 1: Log on to the official NDP website at https://www.ndp.org.sg.
Step 2: Select Ticket Balloting in the top navigation bar.
Step 3: Fill in all the fields as prompted on the screen before submitting the application form.
SAM / AXS Stations
Step 1: Visit any SAM and AXS station. The locations of SAM and AXS stations can be found at https://www.singpost.com.sg and https://www.axs.com.sg respectively.
Step 2: Fill in all the fields as prompted on the screen before submitting the application form.
Each NRIC holder is limited to one application regardless of the mode of application.
If more than one application is made, only the latest attempt will be entered for the electronic ballot when the application period ends on June 4.
Tickets will be allocated via an electronic ballot system and not on a first-come-first-served basis.
All successful applicants in the NDP 2016 ticket eBalloting exercise will not be eligible for the NDP 2017 ticketing eBalloting exercise.
Tickets are strictly not for sale, sold for any gain, monetary or otherwise, the committee said.
