Five-year-old Lim Yu Han poses with her artwork for her mother, 38-year-old Maggie Chen. The girl was among more than 1,600 children who spent Children's Day yesterday letting their creativity run wild at the Esplanade. While those between five and 12 took part in a drawing competition, younger kids had fun with colouring at the annual Octoburst! - A Children's Festival, a three-day festival of arts and culture which ends tomorrow. It features workshops where families create paper sculptures of animals or nature together. It also offers performances such as Little Red Riding Hood.
