The Singapore River is lit up by a new floating art installation, which visitors can interact with using their mobile devices.

The display - shaped like a map of Singapore - makes use of more than 2,000 LED lights. Visitors can send New Year wishes via text messages which will be shared with the public at a later date.

The installation - which is a collaboration between electronics giant Philips, the Singapore University of Technology and Design and the National University of Singapore - will be up until Jan 10.
