SINGAPORE - An emergency ambulance collided with a motorcycle outside Alexandra Fire Station along Queensway on Thursday (May 18) morning.

Video footage uploaded onto the Roads.SG Facebook group showed the motorcycle, which was carrying a pillion rider and had the right of way, colliding with the side of the ambulance at 7.26am.

The ambulance was turning out of the fire station.

Responding to queries from The Straits Times, a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesman said that the ambulance was responding to an emergency call at about 7.25am when it collided with the motorcycle.

Both the motorcyclist and pillion rider were immediately attended to by an SCDF paramedic and were found to have suffered minor abrasions.

Another ambulance was deployed to answer the emergency call.
