A colouring sheet featuring the Gardens by the Bay has been put up for a "silent auction" as part of efforts to raise funds for the President's Challenge.

President Tony Tan Keng Yam put the final touches to the piece last month, at a charity event held by Singapore Press Holdings' Chinese Media Group (CMG). The group has, so far, raised $206,000 for this year's President's Challenge, which is now into its 16th year.

The highest bid stood at $10,000 yesterday.

Those who wish to take part in the auction, which is organised by CMG, can e-mail Ms Sharon Au at aupp@sph.com.sg or call 6319-2392.

Proceeds from the auction, which ends on Saturday at 5pm, will go to the President's Challenge, and all donations are entitled to a 2.5-time tax deduction for every dollar donated.
