Accident involving car and motorcycle causes massive traffic jam on Dunearn Road

SINGAPORE - An accident between a car and a motorcycle on Dunearn Road in the direction of the city caused a massive traffic jam during the morning rush hour on Wednesday (April 13).

Police said they received a call about the accident occurred just after the entrance of National Junior College at about 6.46am.

An ambulance was despatched to the scene, according to the Singapore Civil Defence Force. The 37-year-old motorcyclist was conveyed conscious to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

A tow truck and two police motorbikes were seen at the scene at around 7.50am.

According to a tweet by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) at 7.40am, the congestion had reached Old Jurong Road.

Commuters were advised to avoid the left lane.
