People taking part in a charity yoga session at the National Gallery Singapore yesterday.

The 1½-hour class was led by instructors from local studios, The Yoga Mandala, Yoga Lab and Outta Hatha.

About 50 people paid an entrance donation of at least $50 to the Community Chest, as part of a Christmas campaign which has raised around $13,000 so far for ComChest's beneficiaries from about 80 charities.

Said Ms Ng Ling Ling, assistant chief executive of the National Council of Social Service:

"By bringing together like-minded people to participate in this first charity yoga event at the National Gallery, we hope to create greater awareness and understanding of the causes and social service organisations that we serve."
