Artist Ika Zahri Sarkasi and his wife, Madam Zarinah Begum, painting a batik piece in the presence of President Tony Tan Keng Yam and his wife Mary at the Istana Open House yesterday in celebration of Hari Raya Puasa. The artists were joined by Malay dancers, vocalists and violinists. Their performance piece, Slamanan Masa or "the Weaving of Time", saw the traditional Malay art forms come together to promote harmony.
