More than 80 Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and Metta School students and staff painted flags in preparation for National Day yesterday as part of the PAssionArts Festival.

Organised by ITE and Tampines Changkat Community Club, the completed flags will be hung on three HDB blocks in Tampines, making up a giant montage themed Nation With One HeART.

This is the first time ITE is partnering Tampines Changkat Community Club.

At ITE College East yesterday, 82 standard-sized flags - out of a total of 260 - were painted.

The rest of the flags for the montage will be painted by other grassroots organisations on different dates.
