82-year-old temple worker dies after hit by taxi in Jurong West

SINGAPORE - An 82-year-old man was killed after he was hit by a taxi near Block 425 at Jurong West Avenue 1 on Monday.

Mr Huang Jinfu, a temple worker, was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing when he was hit by the taxi, Chinese daily Lianhe Wanbao reported.

Mr Cai, who works at the same temple, said Mr Huang was in good health and had good eyesight.

Mr Huang's son told Wanbao that he only learnt about the accident three hours later.

Police said the taxi driver has been arrested and investigations are ongoing.
