The year's first Build-to-Order (BTO) exercise kicked off yesterday, with 4,056 Housing Board flats on offer. They comprise 1,603 units in Clementi, 638 in Tampines and 1,815 in Punggol, ranging from two-room flexi units to multi-generational flats.
Some 1,500 applications were received as of 5pm yesterday. The deadline is next Monday.
Clementi flats were expected to be the most popular, but two-room flexi flats in Punggol turned out to be the most heavily subscribed.
The exercise also marks the first time families on the Fresh Start Housing Scheme can apply for a flat.
