SINGAPORE - A 27-year-old motorcyclist died in an accident along the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) on Saturday morning (March 25).

Police said they were alerted to the accident at about 6.29am, which took place after the Kranji Expressway (KJE) exit on BKE towards Woodlands.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

With the motorcycle lying in the middle of the expressway, traffic police closed off stretches of the right and centre lanes, creating a line of traffic that extended back to the Bukit Panjang exit.

Police investigations are ongoing.
