26-year-old man injured after car collides with divider along SLE

SINGAPORE - A 26-year-old man was injured after his car hit a divider along Seletar Expressway (SLE) on Sunday (June 5) morning.

The Straits Times understands that the man had nodded off at the wheel, causing the accident after the Upper Thomson Road exit in the direction of Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE).

No other vehicle was involved in the crash.

Police said they were alerted to the accident at about 8.46am on Sunday.

A Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesman said it dispatched one ambulance to the scene.

The driver was conveyed conscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, police said. His injuries were not believed to be serious.

The Land Transport Authority had tweeted at 8.45am for drivers to avoid lanes 2 and 3 along the affected stretch of SLE.

Police investigations are ongoing.
