SINGAPORE - A 21-year-old has won the chance to be a DJ at Sentosa's year-end beach party, after winning the inaugural Sentosa DJ Spin Off competition. Mr Neo also won $2,000 cash prize.

Mr Caden Neo, whose stage name is DJ Caden, beat seven other DJs in the final round held at Wave House Sentosa on Sunday night. Judges in the inaugural contest included local DJs such as DJ Jense and DJ Funky T. The first round was held on April 26, with 24 in the competition including Mr Neo.

He said: "I'm feeling great. I definitely had fun - my friends came down to support me and I'm really grateful to have come this far."

Mr Daryl Chua, 21, whose stage name is DJ Daerion, took second place and walked away with prize money of $1,500 and Mr Mohammad Shaifudin Suhaimi, or DJ Shai, 24, came in third and won $500.

The competition is part of the Sentosa Celebrates Music Festival which comprises of music events for members of the public.
