20-year-old victim of slashing incident at Orchard Cineleisure rushed to SGH

A 20-year-old man, who was purportedly slashed by three assailants, was rushed to Singapore General Hospital from Orchard Cineleisure on Saturday evening.

A Singapore Civil Defence Force spokesman told The Straits Times that a call was received at 9.14pm about an incident at the popular mall just off Orchard Road.

The victim was said to have suffered lacerations and was seen bleeding profusely from his head.

Eyewitnesses at the mall, located along Grange Road, said they saw two groups of men in their early 20s quarrelling outside the nearby Mcdonald's restaurant earlier at about 9pm.

They then saw a group of men running after the victim man before slashing him with knives, said to be about 20cm long, at the front of the mall.
