One hundred and eight suspects were nabbed for drug related offences during a four-day sting led by officers from the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) with support from the police.

More than $160,000 worth of drugs, including about 1,300g of heroin, 20g of Ice, 610g of cannabis, 70g of ketamine, 291 Erimin-5 tablets and 27 Ecstasy tablets, were also seized during the island-wide operation, conducted from Oct 7 to 11.

The CNB said on Friday that the among the assortment of drugs confiscated was a haul of 1,200g of heroin - worth more than $120,000 on the streets - seized from four suspected drug traffickers, who if convicted, may face the death penalty.

CNB director Ng Ser Song said the operation was a testament to the close cooperation between the Home Team agencies in fighting the drug menace. "We will continue to keep up the vigorous enforcement efforts against all drug offenders," he added.
