Thanks for standing up for McDonald's crew
I REFER to the letter, 'Hey Mac, you give foreigners a bad name' by Ms Cecilia Tan (May 1).

We would like to thank Ms Tan for her courage in standing up for our crew in a difficult situation, when the latter was reprimanded by another customer over the need to keep his pets outside the restaurant premises.

No live animal is allowed in McDonald's restaurants, in keeping with National Environment Agency regulations, in the interest of public health and food hygiene.

We will continue to uphold this food-hygiene requirement of the health regulatory authorities in all McDonald's restaurants to protect the well-being and health of our customers. We appeal to all our animal-loving customers for their understanding and support on this.

Linda Ming (Ms)
Senior Communications Manager
