BUS CAPTAIN WAS THOUGHTFUL ON APRIL 9, a traffic accident at the T-junction in Jurong East Avenue 1 caused a temporary road closure. When I boarded service 333 (SBS 3847 E) near Block 347 Jurong East Avenue 1 at around 10.55am, the young bus captain asked each passenger who boarded where he intend to alight as two stops along that stretch of road were non-accessible. Buses would have to go by Boon Lay Way instead.

NO CASH, SO TAXI RIDE IS FREE I WOULD like to thank the driver of taxi SHB 380 Y who drove my boyfriend and me from Mandai exit from the Bukit Timah Expressway to the nearest petrol station at Yishun and back to Mandai for free. On March 28, my boyfriend and I were on our way to the Causeway when we realised our motorbike was almost out of fuel. As we had no cash, we offered to pay by credit card, but he said it was okay and 'on him'. Serena Goh (Ms)
HONEST CABBY TRIED TO RETURN PHONE IN LATE March, my colleagues and I boarded taxi SHA 3068 K at about 4am after work. Unknown to me, I had left my cellphone in the cab. The next day, I had a call from my girlfriend to say the driver had been looking for me since I alighted.

DRIVER MADE SURE SHE CAUGHT BUS ON APRIL 18 at around 8.05am, my father dropped me along Changi Road, after Perpetual Succour Church, so I could catch the bus. Unfortunately, SMRT service 854 whizzed by. However, the driver of an SBS service 25 bus (SBS 327 J, heading from Bedok interchange to Ang Mo Kio interchange) noticed, told me to board his bus and followed the 854 for several stops until I managed to board. I thank him for going the extra mile to give excellent service.
