Cemetery's swarming worry
HAS the National Environment Agency overlooked an important area in the fight against dengue haemorraghic fever? Last Saturday, my family and I visited the Chinese Cemetery at Choa Chu Kang during Qing Ming. When we arrived, we were greeted by swarms of mosquitoes which found perfect breeding places in water-filled joss stick urns, milk cans, broken bottles, soft drink paper packets, plastic bags, plates and even cockle shells, which were left behind by others.
