Reassurance on religious tolerance
| I CANNOT agree more with Foreign Minister George Yeo that to keep the peace, it is essential for the Government to act fairly in religious matters.
It is also reassuring to hear him say: 'Whatever our individual beliefs, we must always make sure the state is secular, guaranteeing the freedom of all religions.' Freedom of expression should not be used as an excuse to offend any religion as it goes against the principle of religious tolerance and harmony where all religions are treated with respect.
