Extra outlets led to more rest-and-meet places

| I REFER to the letter, 'Sacrifice a few dollars and spare the space' by Ms Low Koon Moi (Feb 21). Whenever asset enhancements are undertaken at CapitaLand Retail malls, we are focused on creating a refreshing and vibrant tenancy mix, without sacrificing the shopping ambience.
At Raffles City Shopping Centre and Junction 8, food and beverage outlets were increased by more than 30 per cent following their revamp, to allow shoppers more venue choices to rest their feet and catch up with friends. As part of the enhancement initiatives at Raffles City, we have also catered for designated seating areas on Level 1 and the basement. Once the new furniture is ready, it will be placed on the designated carpeted seating areas on the two floors. In addition, new furniture will be placed at the elevated atrium space on Level 3 of the island podium block, whenever the atrium is not used for events. To cater to the family crowd who typically shop with their children at Junction 8, a rooftop landscaped garden, complete with seating and children play areas, has been built. We will continue to find ways to enhance the shopping experience for our customers. We thank Ms Low for her feedback. Tong Ka-Pin (Ms) | |
