Couldn't intruder plane have landed at Seletar?
ON TUESDAY Singapore's airspace was infiltrated by a civilian Cessna 208. It was escorted by two of our fighter jets to land at Changi, causing our international airport to be closed for close to an hour. Why was it necessary for the small plane to land at Changi? We have another civilian airport at Seletar, and military airbases that could have been used to avoid causing disruption, or alarm to passengers.
