Museum promises stricter controls on photo shoots
| I THANK Mr Krison Tan for his feedback on his visit to the Greek Masterpieces From The Louvre exhibition at the National Museum on Dec 18 ('National Museum visit spoiled by photo shoot'; ST, Dec 28).
Mr Tan pointed out that a visitor's experience at the museum can be enhanced by its surroundings. It is our aim that every visitor walks away with a truly memorable experience. We thus strive to minimise potentially distracting activities within our exhibition spaces and implement guidelines with the help of our security guards and museum staff. The museum acceded to the photo shoot during exhibition hours rather than close the exhibition to facilitate the shoot. We regret the inconvenience to Mr Tan and other visitors who may have been affected by the noise levels and behaviour of the camera crew. We will have stricter controls on noise levels and inconvenience generated by such shoots. Pauline Kheng (Ms) | |
