No ruling yet on IDA role in damages assessment

| WE REFER to the article, 'SingTel bid to stop IDA's input on damages rejected' (ST, Aug 3). We would like to clarify that the Court of Appeal did not decide that IDA is to be involved in the assessment of damages. Instead, the court was of the view that Justice Kan Ting Chiu had yet to rule on the issue of IDA's involvement in the assessment. Hence SingTel has the option of going back to Justice Kan to have him decide on the issue.
