Fast-food delivery riders - thanks for telling us
| WE REFER to the online letter on Saturday, 'McProblem - delivery riders' by Mr Chue Choon Wai.
At McDonald's, safety has always been of paramount importance to us - be it pertaining to the welfare of our customers, employees or the community we are part of. We are emphatic about safe and considerate riding. We concertedly enforce this through our Safe Ridership internal campaign to instil a greater sense of safety awareness among our delivery partner vendor and riders. With regard to Mr Chue's observation published on April 26, we have since followed up with our delivery partner vendor to remind them that they have to observe road safety rules and respectful riding. They have also been reminded to ensure that all delivery riders park their motorcycles at designated parking lots. In addition, our Restaurant Teams who manage the riders also do periodic spot-checks to reinforce safe riding habits. We will continue to monitor the situation and ensure that they observe these rules and regulations. As part of our commitment to safety, we encourage members of the public to report any unsafe riding practices to us by calling our McDelivery 24/7 hotline at 6777 3777 or e-mail us with their feedback at ops@sg.mcd.com Linda Ming (Ms) Senior Communications Manager McDonald's Restaurants Pte Ltd | |
