TV trailer for The Apprentice spoils suspense
I AM writing in relation to some of the trailers shown by Channel 5. After the Monday night telecast of The Apprentice, I watched the trailer for the next episode and noticed, for the second week running, that it included shots of the following episode's boardroom meeting.

Those who are aware of the format of The Apprentice will know that the boardroom is generally only attended by the team that loses that week's challenge. By showing detailed shots of the boardroom meeting, Channel 5 is essentially revealing which team won and which team lost the challenge. While I appreciate that The Apprentice is not shown on the same day as the US telecast, unlike American Idol, Survivor or The Amazing Race, the whole premise of a contest/challenge-based reality TV show is the element of suspense, which is all but removed when the trailer for an episode gives away the outcome of that episode's challenge.

Since the trailer gives away the result, there no longer seems much point in actually watching the episode to find out the result. I hope this will not continue in future, as my enjoyment of the programme is considerably marred by the ending being a foregone conclusion, thanks to Channel 5's trailers.
