Allow former ACS board chairman to retire on a 'high note'
DR KOH Eng Soo has misunderstood the article on Mr Tan Wah Thong, former chairman of the ACS Board of Governors in his letter on April 4, 'Teachers, old boys keep ACS spirit alive'.

As one of the ACS staff, I would like to point out that Mr Tan has, at no time, claimed sole responsibility of 'transforming the ACS Brand'. Mr Tan is fully aware that teachers and principals are the main players of the school. I believe, because of Mr Tan's able leadership and his PBM Award in recognition of his untiring effort in the education field, the phrase was coined. As Dr Koh had acknowledged Mr Tan's contribution to ACS, I cannot understand why that phrase has irked Dr Koh. Please allow Mr Tan to retire on a 'high note'.
