Buses mum-unfriendly
| AFTER reading Wednesday's letter by Ms Sarah Sum-Campbell, 'Help me and my baby, says mother with pram', I totally understand her frustration and agree with her that the transport system needs fine-tuning.
I also have a baby girl. Although the bus stop is just five minutes away from my home, I hardly take the bus with my girl. The thought of having to juggle the pram, the bag for the baby and the baby herself while taking the bus is overwhelming. We wouldn't want to lose our balance and get hurt. Who wouldn't want to be environmentally friendly, cut down on fuel consumption and save cost by taking public transport, especially if you have a family? But we need help to board and alight from the bus safely and with ease before we can reach the MRT station or any other destination. With the additional rules on taxis, it looks like we are going to be home-bound for quite a while. Quek Lay Choo (Mdm) | |
