Travel agent should have kept writer informed of schedule change: SIA
I REFER to Wednesday's online letter by Dr Law Yan Mee, 'Customer not told of changed flight schedule'. Dr Law's booking to travel from Newark to Singapore was changed as an all Business Class flight would be used to operate to and from Newark.

The onus of keeping customers informed of such changes lies on the party from whom the booking was made. Those who book directly with Singapore Airlines via our website or local sales office will be informed by the airline; while travel agents are responsible for keeping those who booked with them updated. Dr Law's travel agent should have contacted him in this instance.

However, we are sympathetic to Dr Law's situation, and will do our best to assist in travel arrangements. Our staff in the US will be contacting Dr Law to see how best we can help with making alternative arrangements.
