Overcrowding mars group lunch
My lunch booking for 11 at Lei Gardens Chijmes ended badly when we arrived to find the restaurant overbooked, but the staff would not admit it. Each time we asked for our table we were told the staff were getting it ready. It was only after 45 minutes and after I made a terrible scene that we were seated at a hastily-erected table in a cramped corner on the second floor.

By then one of my guests had to leave without eating.

As the table had to be tucked in the corner, the food could not be served properly and had to be passed by one guest to the next.

Nor we we the only party to suffer from the over-booking. I will not be returning.
