Defective products will be repaired free within warranty period: Nokia

| WE REFER to Mr Chong Hong Jie's letter, 'Nokia phone faulty on the day of purchase' (Online forum, Jan 23).
We are currently in contact with Mr Chong to resolve the matter and we would like to assure all our customers that product quality is very important to Nokia, being one of the key reasons for the continual trust in our brand among consumers around the world. Therefore, resolving product quality matters such as this is certainly a high priority for Nokia. While we are unable to comment on the practice of any other mobile phone manufacturer, Nokia guarantees all its customers that during the warranty period, if a product has any defect, which is not in any way attributable to the customer, Nokia will repair the product free of charge. In cases where Nokia in its absolute discretion finds it necessary to replace the product, Nokia will do so. As Nokia is continuously reviewing and improving its operations and processes, we value our customers' comments and thank Mr Chong for his feedback.
