It was supposed to be a fun-filled time at the tiny leisure island of Singapore, just as what our Sentosa Leisure Group has promised.

Unfortunately, we should have heeded the warnings on all the reports about Siloso Beach fast turning into the partying place of Singapore, or even South-east Asia, when we tried to book at the Siloso Beach Resort, right next to Cafe Del Mar where they party till 4am every Saturday.

So we regretted failing to do our research properly. I should have stayed at the tried and tested Rasa Sentosa, instead of the 'new' Siloso Beach Resort which had family room promotions on its website and other affiliated travel sites.

Even then, I still wonder how the authorities were able to give out a licence for a 'family' resort just next to the place where partying and loud music are the main theme. The glass windows, which were more than 2cm thick, were not able to keep out the noise.

We ended the trip sleepless in Sentosa.
