Will 40 per cent of Sec 5 students not make it to polytechnic or will 60 per cent of them actually do well at the O levels to move on to the polytechnic?

From another perspective, to the student who can qualify for the polytechnic, it is a 100 per cent success for that individual.

If our students are willing to trade one year of their youth to pursue a dream, they should be encouraged. Whatever the outcome, their courage to strive is already remarkable. They will turn out to be better people.
