Increase frequency of bus service plying between VivoCity and Woodlands
I COMMUTE to work by Trans-Island Bus Service (Tibs) 963, which plies between VivoCity and Woodlands.

The bus is always packed, and with the newly opened Vivo City and more condominiums built along the route, the situation has become worse.

During peak hours, the bus is crowded as well, especially when it is a single carriage.

Often, passengers rush to board the bus by the exit doors as they cannot get in by the front.

In their desperation not to be left behind, many squeeze in just to stand on the steps. There have been times where passengers were hit by the closing doors as they were not visible to the driver.

During off-peak hours, the frequency is erratic. I have waited for up to 30 minutes for a bus...and this at 9pm!

I have noticed that other services by Tibs operate more frequently and carry fewer passengers. Between 9pm and 11pm, the bus plying back to Woodlands from VivoCity is also always packed.

The frequency of buses should be improved and I urge the authorities to look into the matter before a serious accident happens.
