Car accident victim thanks all who rendered assistance
I WOULD like to thank all those who provided assistance to me when I met with a car accident on Sept 29.

The accident happened at about 12.50pm at the intersection of Mountbatten Road and Crescent Road.

It happened when the car I was in (my friend was the driver and I was sitting in the front passenger seat) was making a turn and another oncoming car rammed into my side at very high speed.

I was trapped in my seat for about 30 minutes. Both of us were conscious but my friend was not responding to my calls as she was in great shock.

Many passers-by came to our aid and helped me to calm down.

I would like to thank a Mr David who called to inform and update my husband throughout the time we were at the accident site. I would also like to thank a Mr Ja'afar, a Comfort taxi driver who stayed with us, took care of our bags and continued talking to us till the paramedics came. I would also like to thank our friend, Mr Mahdi Mahyudin of Darul Arqam Singapore, who rushed to the scene and helped to gather information on the accident from witnesses and helped in making a report to the traffic police.

Last but not least, I would like to give special thanks to paramedic officers Wee Kiat and Md Aziz from Station 21 who had given assistance efficiently, promptly and professionally.

To all the helpful people I have mentioned and those I am unable to mention (as I do not have your particulars), I am very grateful. Without your assistance and concern, my injuries could have been worse than the fractures I am having now and I dread to think what might have happened to us otherwise. God bless you!
