What exemplary service at McDonald's, truly a model for others
I WOULD like to comment on the good service of McDonald's restaurants and I must say it is improving from time to time.

I go to McDonald's restaurant to do my work and meet friends very often, especially the West Coast Park outlet.

Its service is good - it provides fast and efficient service, it has a cosy, family-oriented and clean (even the toilets) environment, staff replace your food if you accidentally drop it while carrying it to your seat, they shelter you to your car if it rains, they greet you readily when you step in, and much much more. What really impressed me is that the staff - from outlet managers to serving staff and even cleaning staff - are well-trained, friendly and always ready to go the extra mile for customers.

This is my experience with the West Coast Park outlet. Whenever I walk into the restaurant, I am greeted by friendly staff with a big smile. Since I am there very often, some of the managers and serving staff remember and will greet me by name and a few of them even remember my usual orders.

Sometimes my food is ready even before I place the order. Very often, the managers (especially Vivian, Sri Ram, Nur and a few more) will chat with me, asking for my feedback.

On July 29, I wanted to redeem my rewards points for a McChicken. Unfortunately, the redemption machine could not capture and print the receipt.

Manager Kamalia tried to rectify the problem without success. Without hesitation, she ordered the McChicken for me and told me it was on her.

I told her to deduct the points from my card when the machine was working but she would have none of that.

If only service staff in Singapore are all like her. It's not about the free food but the willingness of service staff to go the extra mile to put customers at ease and giving them what they want and need.

It's the extra effort of them remembering customers' name and orders that need to be praised. If consumers want good service, don't just complain about the bad ones, compliment the good ones too.

My experience with McDonald's has been a very pleasant one and I will stay loyal to them. And if any company still does not know what is good service, McDonald's is a very good example.

Thank you, McDonald's.
