Parents oblivious to kids' misbehaviour - it's happening even in bookshops
IN HIS letter, 'Many children allowed to misbehave at escalators'' (Online forum, Aug 9), Mr Ace Kindred Cheong Shiang Hoow related his experience with the behaviour of children in the presence of their parents, who appeared to be totally oblivious to what's happening before them. Such conduct is in fact everywhere.

Just take a walk to a bookshop like Borders and walk to the children's section, where it resembles more like a war zone with books, toys and magazines strewn all over the floor.

Some toys even have its wrappings torn open. And yet all these children are accompanied by their parents!
