Soccer: S'pore beat Lebanon 2-0 in World Cup qualifier match
THE Singapore lions have beaten Lebanon, 2-0 in the 2010 Fifa World Cup Asian qualifiers match at the National Stadium.

The first goal was conceived in the eighth minute by Aleksander Duric, followed by Fazrul Shahul in the 24th minute.

Goal keeper Lionel Lewis did well to defend his post, denying Lebanon three goals from awarded free kicks.

The Lions will meet Uzbekistan in the next qualifying match on June 2.
