S'pore donates US$500,000 to China
THE Singapore Government will make a humanitarian contribution of US$500,000 (S$707,000) to China, which is facing one of its worst winters in decades with severe snow storms causing extensive damage, injury and loss of life.

The aid is in response to an appeal by the Red Cross Society of China, Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said yesterday.
