| A motorcylist was killed and a driver was seriously injured in two separate rush-hour accidents on Friday morning.
The fatal bike accident happened at Bukit Panjang Road in the direction of Bukit Timah Expressway at about 8am. The rider, a man in his mid-20s, was pronounced dead by paramedics at about 8.30 am. The second accident took place at around the same time, at the junction of Woodlands Avenue 7, Admiralty Road West and Woodlands Avenue 8. A Mazda car collided with a lorry, trapping the car driver in his vehicle. Rescuers from the Singapore Civil Defence Force extricated him using hydraulic equipment. The man in his mid-30s was later taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Police are investigating both accidents. | |
